Iranian parliament takes steps toward dealing with the country that allowed downed Israeli drone to take off on an anti-Iranian mission.
On Wednesday September 10, Afarinesh daily reported that the Islamic Consultative Assembly is to draft a bill that would punish the country that allowed an Israeli drone to take off on a foiled reconnaissance flight over Iran [August 23].
The vice-chairman of the chamber’s National Security and Foreign Relations Committee said that the committee might ask military commanders and other officials to appear before parliament to explain the incident.
“When enough information is collected about what has happened, we would debate the bill on parliament floor. If approved, the Islamic Consultative Assembly will pave the way for its implementation,” Mansour Haghighatpour, who represents the northwestern city of Ardebil in parliament said.
