With the practical experience of a long war and expertise in coping with emergency demands for military gear, the Iranian military engineering units are now capable of fulfilling all needs of the Armed Forces, Iran’s defense minister said.
Addressing a conference on Sunday, Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said the Armed Forces are among pioneers in technological fields in the country.
Dehqan noted that the capabilities of the Defense Ministry military engineering unit are so high that they can fulfil national and international demands in addition to meeting the Armed Forces’ needs.
The general had already made it clear that the country will continue to bolster its defense capabilities irrespective of comments by outsiders, warning the enemies that any wrong move will trigger Tehran’s crushing response.
Iran has in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of military equipment, including the air defense systems that use cutting edge technologies.
Tehran has repeatedly stated that its military power is defensive in nature and poses no threat to other countries.
