Difficulties of Online Learning in Iran’s Remote Areas

While millions of Iranian students do not go to schools and attend their classes remotely because of the coronavirus pandemic, a huge number of kids in the remote areas have to travel along hard paths to find a place where there is celluar coverage.

The country’s ICT Ministry has vowed to expand cellular coverage to all parts of the country; however, there are still many remote areas where students cannot connect to the internet through their smartphones.

What follows are YJC‘s photos of some of these kids who have to climb up a mountain to use the online learning application SHAAD:
