Iran’s Health Ministry says the number of coronavirus infections has risen to 14,991, out of whom 853 have died and 4,996 have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
Health Ministry spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour on Monday confirmed 1,053 new cases of coronavirus infections, including 129 new deaths, during the past 24 hours.
The 14,991 cases include 3,774 in Tehran, 1,374 in Mazandaran, 1,301 in Isfahan, 1,023 in Qom, 858 in Gilan, 714 in Alborz, 712 in Markazi, 568 in Khorasan Razavi, 484 in Semnan, 447 in Qazvin, 409 in East Azarbaijan, 377 in Yazd, 301 in Golestan, 306 in Khuzestan, 295 in Fars, 289 in Lorestan, 224 in West Azarbaijan, 216 in Zanjan, 184 in Ardabil, 165 in Kurdistan, 136 in Kermanshah, 131 in Hamadan, 107 in South Khorasan, 106 in Hormozgan, 103 in Ilam, 97 in Kerman, 97 in North Khorasan, 71 in Sistan and Baluchestan, 52 in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, 38 in Bushehr, and 32 in Kohgiliyeh and Buyer-Ahmad.
