Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi has accused the US of hampering the implementation of the Iran nuclear deal, saying the falling apart of the JCPOA will have dire regional consequences.
In an address to the 29th Meeting of Standing Committee of International Conference of Asian Political Parties in Tehran, Araqchi said the collapse of the deal will create a new crisis in the region and deteriorate the existing crises.
According to a Farsi report by the IRIB News Agency, Araqchi called the JCPOA a unique diplomatic achievement saying Iran has remained fully committed to the nuclear deal over the past years.
“Iran’s commitment to the nuclear deal has been explicitly confirmed in 9 reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency and 4 reports by the UN.”
The Iranian deputy foreign minister also expressed regret that the Trump administration has borne animosity with the nuclear deal since taking office last year, adding the administration has already violated some parts of the JCPOA.
