Talks Under Way at Iran Plast for Boosting Petchem Trade

Iranian exhibitors at the 10th Iran Plast Exhibition are working out future cooperation with their international counterparts at the showcase, a senior Iranian petrochemical official says.

Speaking with Shana, Marziyeh Shahdaei, head of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC), said Iranian companies are holding talk sessions with foreign petrochemical companies at the showcase in to hunt out business opportunities in a ban-free Iran.

She said the fair is primarily aimed at linking Iranian petrochemical firms with their foreign opposite numbers now that US-engineered sanctions on Tehran’s nuclear program are lifted and prospects are brighter than ever for cooperation and investment of foreign financiers in Iran’s petrochemical sector.

The official said the fair provides for a favorable arena for assessing investment opportunities in Iran’s petrochemical industry as well.
