Tabriz hosts giant colored eggs festival

A park in the Iranian city of Tabriz is hosting a festival of large colored Nowruz eggs.

Over eighty visual artists have taken part in the festival to paint on the eggs.

Dyeing and decorating eggs is an Iranian tradition that is observed in the run up to the New Year.

Iranians will mark the arrival of spring and the begging of a new year in less than two weeks.
