Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has thanked Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi for his message of congratulation on his election as the Pakistani premier, and has invited Raisi to visit Islamabad.
According to a tweet by the Pakistani embassy in Tehran, Sharif expressed hopes that Tehran and Islamabad “stand together” and move to further expand their relations.
