A video on Tuesday went viral showing people finding a newborn baby inside a dumpster in the south of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Medical sources said the newborn’s cord blood had not come off when it was found wrapped in a white and black bag.
The sources say the infant, a male, was taken to a nearby hospital after his body was cleaned.
The general condition of the baby is said to be in a stable condition.
