Merger of NJORD and Brockstedt-Kaalund Law Firms

NJORD and Brockstedt-Kaalund law offices merge to become the 8th largest law office in Denmark. From 01.10.2020 NJORD and Brockstedt-Kaalund will join forces under the NJORD brand, and as a result, in the team there will be more than 260 employees in Denmark and the Baltic States.

The connection will strongly anchor the potential and provide the opportunity to benefit from expertise, including at the international level. Both offices are known for putting a lot of effort to make their employees happy.

“We continue to focus on building great teams to meet the professional challenges and for flexibility in our day-to-day work”, – Lars Lokdam, Managing Partner at NJORD Law Firm said.

The importance of size

“Size is an important factor in our industry. Professionalism improves, large-scale operations lower costs, and being in plain sight attracts the most educated professionals. Together we can work better and more efficiently” – Lars Lokdam, Managing Partner at NJORD Law Firm said.

Brockstedt-Kaalund announced its readiness to expand its operations through a merger earlier this year. “We have been waiting to become the best player in central Jutland for a long time. It is important for us to be on the move and apply the abilities that can put our work in the first place among the Danish law firms. The association with NJORD meets our needs and the skillful balance between practices is almost perfect”, – Henrik Lyhne, Managing Partner at Brockstedt-Kaalund Law Firm informed.

Wonderful combination

After the merger, the office aims to maintain and expand the primary business areas of specialized business consulting and some areas of private consulting.

“The merger will significantly strengthen our position. In so many areas, NJORD and Brockstedt-Kaalund create an excellent combination of competencies that will benefit both our business and our customers”, – Lars Lokdam, Managing Partner at NJORD Law Firm said.

Brockstedt-Kaalund among other things has a strong insolvency team. Once combined with the best practices of NJORD, the office can carry out various tasks related to insolvency. The merger also allows for greater implementation of modern technologies – this applies both to the optimization of internal procedures and to the promotion of legal technical services for customers.

National and international ambitions.

“NJORD wishes to continue developing in Denmark with everyone who is confident in solid professional standards and a strong international profile. With the largest German-speaking office in Denmark and lawyers from all Nordic states working from the Copenhagen branches, the international level will remain our advantage”, – Lars Lokdam, Managing Partner at NJORD Law Firm informed.
