A Look at Iranian Newspaper Front Pages on January 23

IFP has taken a look at the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Tuesday, January 23, and picked headlines from 12 of them. IFP has simply translated the headlines and does not vouch for their accuracy.

The top story in all Iranian newspapers was President Hassan Rouhani’s live interview with popular TV host Reza Rashidpour. The interview, which was aired on Monday night, was the first relatively challenging interview the Iranian president gave to a domestic media outlet.

Several papers also lashed out at French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian for his remarks about Iran’s missile capabilities.

The ongoing dust pollution in the southwestern Khuzestan province as well as the recent increase in dollar rates were among other top stories today.
