IFP has taken a look at the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Thursday, February 15, and picked headlines from 20 of them. IFP has simply translated the headlines and does not vouch for their accuracy.
Many newspapers today covered the efforts made by the Central Bank of Iran to control the forex market, in which the dollar rate has particularly increased to an unprecedented level.
President Hassan Rouhani’s idea of holding a plebiscite on the country’s controversial issues also remained a top story as several reformist papers discussed the issue through interviews with theorists and analysts.
The recent arrest of several environmentalists on charge of espionage, and the death of one of them, a university professor named Kavous Seyyed-Emami, also continued to make headlines today.
