According to a Farsi report by Al-Alam, Amine Gemayel, the former President of Lebanon, revealed that Muammar Gaddafi, the former dictator of Libya, had asked him to convert to Islam during a meeting.
He then pointed to his intense conflicts with Gaddafi and the latter’s stance against the administrative and political system of Lebanon.
The 74-year old Amine Gemayel was the President of Lebanon from 1982 to 1988.
