Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs Vincenzo Amendola says Angelino Alfano, the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs, will pay an official visit to Tehran in future.
In a Sunday meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Amendola announced that his country’s foreign minister is going to travel to Iran.
He also expressed his pleasure of being in Iran, and noted that Italian companies and investors are ready to work with the Islamic Republic.
Zarif, for his part, referred to the economic projects underway in Iran, and said there is a good potential for the development of activities of Italian firms in Iran.
The two sides also exchanged views on the implementation of the JCPOA, regional issues, in particular Syria and the Astana talks, and the fight against terrorism, especially ISIS.
