IRGC officer killed during training mission in Iran’s southeast

An IRGC senior officer has been killed during a training mission in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

The IRGC identified the officer as Colonel Seyed Morteza Hosseini, saying he was killed in the Saravan border region.

It also said his body will be sent to be buried in his hometown of Esfarayen.

The circumstances surrounding Colonel Hosseini’s death are unknown.
