Iranian futsal superstar Salar Aghapour and the winner of the world’s best young player in 2022, has been shortlisted by Futsal Planet as the world's best player in 2023.
Aghapour, 25, is a former player of Spain’s Palma futsal team and currently plays for Sirjan’s Gohar Zameen and Iran’s national futsal team.
The world-renowned futsal media outlet unveiled the nominees on Thursday.
Besides Aghapour, the other futsal greats on the list are Izaquel Gomes Zicky Te´ (Sporting Clube de Portugal), Jean Pierre Guisel Costa Pito (Barcelona), Alan Brandi Cuasnicú (Jaén Paraíso Interior), Charles Henrique Ferreira da Silva Charuto (Magnus Futsal), Soufiane El Mesrar (Lavalloise Mayenne Futsal Club), Gustavo Rodrigues Lima (Cascavel Futsal), Juan José Camacho Pérez Catela (Barça), Richard Victor Murilo da Silva (Clube Esportivo e Recreativo Atlântico Erechim), and Anilton César Pany Varela da Silva (Sporting Clube de Portugal).
