Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani has cancelled a trip to Istanbul after Turkey launched a military operation in northeast Syria.
Ali Larijani had been invited by his Turkish counterpart to take part in a parliamentary conference in Istanbul.

Iranian authorities, including President Hassan Rouhani, had urged the Ankara government to avoid taking military action in the Syrian territories.
