Deputy foreign ministers of Iran, Russia, and Iraq have held trilateral talks in Moscow as part of continued consultations between the three states.
During their Wednesday meeting in Moscow, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari, his Iraqi counterpart Nizar Khairallah, and Russia’s Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the latest regional developments and the fight against terrorism in Iraq and Syria.
The three diplomats referred to the necessity of maintaining the territorial integrity of regional countries, the fight against terrorism, and the exclusive right of Syrian people to decide their future as their common stances.
They also highlighted the need for settling the ongoing crisis in Syria based on a political solution.
