A book has been published in Iran to introduce God to Iranian children in the best way possible out of the common conventional approaches.
“Many families present the relationship between human beings and God to their children in the form of such old conventions as ‘God won’t love you any more if you do this’ or ‘God will love you if you do that’,” said Fariborz Lorestani, the author of children’s books who has recently published the three-volume series of “God, You Are Good!”, containing childlike prayers.
“I think, for a child, this is a merely contractual relationship with God, combined with strict discipline.”
According to a Farsi report by ISNA, he went on to say that the anecdotes of his series of books depict the presence of God through childlike experiences.
“Last night, the moon slept on a tree; the sparrow, in the moon; and I, beside my mother. O God, how good are you who want everyone to sleep happily!” we read in one of his tales named “Last Night”.
