Iranian Athlete Dedicates Medal to Deceased Firefighters

Mojtaba Abedini, an Iranian sabre fencer, dedicated his World Cup silver medal to Iranian firefighters who lost their lives in the recent Plasco incident in Tehran.

Abedini, the Iranian sabre fencer who won the silver of Men’s Sabre World Cup Padova 2017 in Italy, dedicated the medal to firemen killed in the Plasco building collapse in Tehran, January 19.

He also wore a flag with the emblem of Iran Fire Department while being awarded his medal.
