Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zairf says the Islamic Republic is ready to cooperate with South Africa in various fields, particularly the fight against terrorism and extremism.
In a Sunday meeting with South Africa’s Minister of State Security David Mahlobo in Tehran, FM Zarif said there are suitable grounds in the political, economic and security fields for cooperation between Tehran and Pretoria.
He further noted that the two states can boost their collaborations in all fields, especially in banking and economic relations.
Zairf also added that the two sides could work together in fight against terrorism and extremism.
In turn, the South African Minister of State Security said his country is interested in cooperating with the Islamic Republic of Iran in a number of different ways in the fields of economy, technology, energy, banking, security, and the fight against terrorist groups.
