Iran will sign a deal with Russia to sell 100,000 barrels per day of oil to its northern neighbour, Iranian Minister of Petroleum said on Tuesday.
The deal, to be signed in the following weeks, would provide Iran with an opportunity to find new customers, Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said, briefing his meeting with visiting Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.
“During the meeting, we agreed to hold a workshop in Moscow over the next few weeks on the new model of Iranian oil contracts,” he said, Press TV reported.
Russia has expressed willingness to cooperate with Iran for long-term regulation of the country’s oil market.
