Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, has held talks with his Syrian counterpartFaisal Mekdad in Tehran.
During the talks held as part of afresh round of meetings of Iran-SyriaJoint Political Committee, the two sides discussed bilateral relations.
They also exchanged views on the latest developments in Syria including fight against terrorism, the current crisis engulfing the country, the humanitarian aid to the Arab country, the progress made so far in making peace and decreasing tensions in some areas and the agenda of the Astana 7 Talks.
Mekdad,who has arrived in Tehran at the head of a delegation, also briefed his Iranian counterpart on the Syrian government’s stances towards the political process underway to resolve the Arab country’s crisis.
