Iran Stands 3rd in Int’l Football, Soccer Robocup in Germany

Iranian university students shined in the 44th RoboCup German Open Competitions, and won the bronze medal in tridimensional football simulation leagues and humanoid soccer robot sections.

The Iranian teams were from Sharif Poly Technique University and Qazvin Azad University.

Members of Sharif Poly Technique University team included Ali Arabzadeh, Mohammad Razeqi, Erfan Tavakoli and Mohammad Amin Nejatbakhsh, who did their best in the tridimensional football simulation leagues.

The Iranian team crashed Russia and France and followed Portugal and Germany in the competitions.

Over 70 teams from 12 countries took part in the competition held in 6 leagues.

RoboCup competitions started in 1997 with the goal of promoting robotics and artificial intelligence.
