Veteran politician Ghafouri Fard dies of illness

Hassan Ghafouri Fard, a university professor and the former senior official with Iran’s Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, passes away after enduring an illness for more than a year.

Ghafouri Fard held various posts in government offices and served as a lawmaker during different parliamentary terms.

The late official, who held a PhD in nuclear particles, also served as the head of the Physical Education Organization, a member of the Central Council of the Mutalefeh Party.
