Iran develops first nano air freshener

An Iranian researcher develops a multi-function air freshener, which among other things, disinfects surfaces.

An Iranian scientist has developed a nano air freshener which neutralizes odors in the air without producing harmful gases such as butane and propane.

Reza Shakhs-Emampour, the developer of the herbal air freshener spray, told Mehr News, “These air fresheners do not pose a threat to people’s health since they are made of herbal extracts and have no chemical components.”

“In addition to freshening the air and neutralizing odors, the herbal air freshener can also disinfect surfaces and has no side effects on the skin,” he said.

Emampour stated that this product is the first of its kind and said, “It is the only type of air freshener produced with nanotechnology that has no adverse environmental or allergic effect.”

“It can be used in the car and on shoes,” he said, “since shoes are the most important factor in transmitting microorganisms into the house, this herbal air freshener can help prevent the spread.”
