Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi strongly denounced the deadly terrorist attack on Manchester Arena, and stressed that the roots of terrorism are the same anywhere in the world.
Qassemi on Tuesday strongly condemned the Monday night’s attack in Manchester, England, which killed and wounded tens of people, and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims.
Iran believes the roots and ideological origins of terrorist attacks, from the one which recently killed a number of Iranian border guards in Mirjaveh to the Monday night’s attack on Manchester, are the same, Qassemi noted.
All the countries that fall victim to the Takfiri and extremist thoughts of these terrorist groups must join hands and launch a serious, targeted, and honest campaign against them, he went on to say.
He also said that forming fake alliances and misleading others about the origins of promoting and arming terrorism and extremism would lead to the cancerous growth of terror in various parts of the world.
Terrorism cannot be eradicated unless there is a firm resolve, comprehensive mechanisms are developed, and double-standard policies are avoided, Qassemi added.
