Shamilarzan is a village in Talesh Country of Gilan province, northern Iran. While only 239 people live in this village, it annually hosts hundreds of tourists.
The village is famous for being home to the tomb of the eighth century (AH) mystic, Sultan Mahmoud Shah Dinvari. The mausoleum has turned the village into a tourist attraction.
The people in this village are very kind and hospitable, and their main job is animal husbandry and beekeeping.
Despite being deprived of basic living facilities such as clean water, gas, telephone, good roads and healthcare, they do their best to turn the trip of the guests and tourists into a memorable one.
