Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says a number of people try to damage or lower womenfolk’s high status by reiterating and boasting West’s flawed and empty comments on Islam’s attitude towards women.
According to IFP, speaking in a meeting with Iranian performers of religious song, held on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad’s daughter, Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (PBUH), and national Women’s Day and Mother’s Day on March 19, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “These deceived and ignorant people downgrade women’s housekeeping, while the job involves bringing up and educating man and producing the most valuable and majestic product of the cosmos which is human being.”
The 20th day of the lunar Islamic month of Jamadi al-Thani (this year falling on March 19) marks the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (PBUH) and the national Women’s Day and Mother’s Day.
The Leader stressed that men and women are not different in certain aspects and abilities such as attaining spiritual levels, exercising leadership and guiding mankind, adding however, there are a number of differences in their roles and responsibilities in family and managing life affairs.
Ayatollah Khamenei said Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (PBUH) is an excellent example in this regard.
