Faezeh Hashemi, daughter of former Iranian president still in custody

Mohsen Hashemi Rafsanjani, the son of the late formet Iranian president, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, has said his sister, Faezeh, is still in custody following her arrest over the unrest in Iran.

Mohsen Hashemi also declined to answer a question from reporters about the trial of his sister, saying he would answer that question later.

Faezeh Hashemi was arrested several days after the protests over the death of 22-year-old girl Mahsa Amini in police custody.

She has criticized Iranian government officials frequently even before this unrest.
