A desperate suitor who failed to persuade a woman to get married to him shot her wounded at her workplace near the Iranian capital Tehran earlier this month and injured two others.
The man, whose identity was withheld by the police, was on the run and was about to flee the country when he was arrested in a border town on Monday.
The police released a video footage showing the reconstruction of the crime scene and the blindfolded detainee who looked in his 20s.
The footage shows the infuriated man entered a drug store in Shahr-e Rey on October 7 and shot and wounded the woman and two others.
The police officer, who was in command of the arrest operation, said the man had a criminal record and was free on bail.
