Iran’s senior nuclear negotiator has said Iran and US would negotiate on Tehran nuclear program, Monday and Tuesday (June 9, 10) in Geneva.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi said that the Iranian delegation would meet with European counterparts on Wednesday and Thursday in Rome.
“The Iran, US talks will be bilateral and Tehran nuclear program is the only topic to be discussed in the negotiations,” added Araghchi and that “imposed sanctions by US upon Iran will be discussed as well.”
He held that US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns would head the US delegation with Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman accompanying.
Iranian negotiators Abbas Araghchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, and Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and North America, will head the Iranian delegation in the upcoming nuclear talks.
On Wednesday and Thursday the Iranian delegation will depart for Rome to attend a meeting on disarmament. Araghchi and his Russian counterpart Sergei Ryabkov will meet. He may also meet with some other European counterparts bilaterally.
