A cordial meeting between the Supreme Leader and disabled war veterans that lasted two and a half hours and the visits of the director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency during his day-long stay in Tehran dominated the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Monday.

 

Ettela’at: “Disabled veterans are vivid images of the Sacred Defense era,” the Supreme Leader said at a meeting with a number of war veterans suffering from spinal cord injury.

Ayatollah Khamenei further said that the presence of disabled war veterans in society amounts to statement of historical facts and political knowledge.


 

Abrar: The judiciary spokesman has said 45 people are on trial in connection with embezzlement and fraud at Bank Saderat Iran.

Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei further said that the order to keep Hamid Baghaei [a close aide to former President Ahmadinejad] in detention has been extended.

 

 


 

Afarinesh: “Iran’s global goal is to establish peace, security and international trust,” President Rouhani said at a meeting with the director of the UN nuclear agency.

Afarinesh: Foreign Minister Zarif has said that he hopes conclusion of nuclear talks spells an end to allegations against the Iranians.
