Comments by President Rouhani in an interview with CBS News that he has no plan to meet with or contact US President Barack Obama during his New York trip dominated the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Tuesday.
Ettela’at: “The majority of the Iranian people approve of the Iran nuclear deal,” said President Rouhani in an interview with CBS News.
President Rouhani: Things will definitely change if we set aside the language of threat and pressure and talk with each other respectfully.
President Rouhani: The United States should make up for the multiple mistakes it has made in dealing with Iran.
President Rouhani: The deal that was struck [between Iran and P5+1] means that we can logically settle key issues through talks.

Abrar: US Secretary of State John Kerry has said that he will meet with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in New York.

Afarinesh: “The US private sector can invest in Iran’s economy,” said President Rouhani in an interview with CBS News.
Afkar: The culture minister has said that the developments of the Middle East will take center stage in President Rouhani’s address at the UN General Assembly.
Aftab-e Yazd: The remaining steps toward a meeting
Before his trip to New York [to attend the 70th UN General Assembly], President Rouhani said in an interview with CBS News that he has no plan for a meeting with President Obama, adding that more steps should be taken before the two countries reach that point.
Aftab-e Yazd: Parliament’s motion to cut the monthly cash subsidies the government doles out to people was killed after a number of MPs withdrew their signatures.
