IFP has taken a look at the front pages of Iranian newspapers on Sunday, May 13, and picked headlines from 18 of them. IFP has simply translated the headlines and does not vouch for their accuracy.
All papers today covered the remarks made by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, about the need for Muslim countries to boost their scientific progress so as to prevent the Americans from telling Muslim leaders what to do or not to do.
Also a top story was the beginning of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s foreign visits aimed at receiving enough guarantees from other parties to the Iran nuclear deal to make sure Iran will be able to reap all the benefits of JCPOA.
Several papers also highlighted the remarks by certain European officials on the need to stand against the US in the wake of its unilateral imposition of anti-Iran sanctions.
The second consecutive Asian title claimed by Iranian Women’s National Futsal Team also received huge coverage by both reformist and conservative papers.
The above issues, as well as many more, are highlighted in the following headlines and top stories:
