UNESCO’s official visits Kashan historical sites

The President of UNESCO's General Conference, who is in Iran to attend a ceremony to commemorate registration of the Burnt City in the UNESCO's World Heritage List, has visited the historical sites in Kashan.

President of UNESCO’s General Conference Hao Ping visited Kashan historical sites on Friday.

Hao Ping, who is in Iran to attend a ceremony to commemorate registration of the Burnt City in the UNESCO’s World Heritage List, accompanied by Iran’s Ambassador to UNESCO Ahmad Jalali and Deputy Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Mohammad Hassan Talebian visited historical sites in this town.

On the sidelines of the visit, Jalali said that the main aim of Hao Ping trip to Iran is to get acquainted with Iran’s activities in the fields of protecting cultural heritage and development of education.

President of UNESCO’s General Conference told IRNA that Iran has played an important role to build the world civilization.

Hao Ping added that Iran has been able to protect its historical sites very well.
