Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has officially received his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan at the Foreign Ministry in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
This is the first trip to Tehran by Fidan as Turkish Foreign Minister.
During his visit, the top Turkish diplomat is to sit down with several other Iranian officials, too.
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced last Tuesday that Fidan would, during his trip, discuss opportunities for the promotion of Tehran-Ankara cooperation in all areas.
As announced by the Turkish ministry, the two foreign ministers will also exchange views on regional and international developments.
