Saadi tomb in southern Iran hosting Nowruz holiday-makers

Vacationers are thronging the tomb of great Iranian poet Saadi in the city of Shiraz in southern Iranian Fars province.

The mausoleum is one of the city’s top visitor sites which has always drawn large numbers of Persian literature lovers.

Saadi Shirazi better known by his pen name Saadi – born 1210, died 1291 or 1292- is a renowned Persian poet and prose writer.

He is recognized for the quality of his writings and for the depth of his social and moral thoughts.
