Qatar’s Minister of Roads Jassim bin Saif al-Saliti is going to visit Iran’s Kish Island to examine infrastructure there as an auxiliary location to assist the Persian Gulf sheikhdom in hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Mr. Saliti will stay on Kish Island on Sunday and Monday.
The trip comes after Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi instructed Iranian authorities to use the possibilities during the World Cup in Qatar.
The Qatari minister and his Iranian counterpart will sign agreements under which Qatar will launch regular shipping lines between the ports of the two countries and Qatari passenger planes will use Iran’s airspace more than before during the World Cup
