President Hails Stability in Iran, Stresses Forward Progress

On Saturday June 11, President Hassan Rouhani praised Iran's stability and security and stressed the country's forward progress.

Rouhani made the remarks in a breaking-fast ceremony attended by clerics and religious scholars. Lauding the high level of stability and security in the Islamic Republic, he said that despite problems encountered by regional states, the Islamic Republic continues its progress and development in peace.

“The government will do its best to fulfill its election promises and it will never stop consulting experts on sensitive issues,” Rouhani said.

He urged the need for presenting the real Iran to the world, and said that Iran now has a special stance in global public opinion.

Rouhani referred to Iran’s capabilities in various fields including transit, its trained workforce, and natural resources, emphasizing the maintenance of good relations with the international community and the use of diplomacy. “We should exploit our resources of power and wealth in the best way,” the President said.

He also hailed the country’s progress in fields like sciences, healthcare, social security and non-oil exports.
