Over 50 Countries to Take Part in Int’l Conference on Palestine in Iran

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi announced that high-ranking officials and representatives of more than 50 countries plan to attend an upcoming international conference in support of Palestine in Tehran.

Speaking to reporters at his press conference in Tehran on Monday, Qassemi said officials from over 50 countries, including 18 parliament speakers, are slated to participate in the 6th International Conference on Palestinian Intifada due to open in the capital, Tehran, on Tuesday.

The spokesman further emphasized that representatives of anti-Israeli Palestinian resistance groups also plan to attend the international gathering.

He further highlighted the threats posed to the region and the world by the Israeli regime and said its nuclear arsenal shows that Tel Aviv has no respect for any international law.

Israel is believed to possess anywhere from 75 to as many as 400 nuclear weapons, including thermonuclear weapons in the megaton range. Israel has never confirmed or denied being in possession of the arms in line with its policy of “nuclear ambiguity.”

The 6th International Conference on Palestinian Intifada will be held from February 21 to 22 in Tehran.

In recent years, the concept of resistance has attracted a great deal of attention across the Muslim world.

It refers mainly to the courage and fortitude shown by the people of Palestine, who have withstood Israel’s crimes for years.
