Iran's Isfahan refinery plans to start producing Euro-4 gasoline once the necessary catalyst is mass-produced in the country, a senior official announced.
Director for production coordination and supervision at National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), Saeed Mahjoubi, said contracts have been signed for the production of Euro-4 gasoline catalyst.
He said that the catalyst is being produced by a subsidiary of National Petrochemical Company (NPC).
Mahjoubi emphasized that Isfahan refinery is currently producing 10 to 11 million liters of gasoline per day, Shana reported.
The Iranian company Exir Novin Farayand Asia has launched the production line of the catalyst with the cooperation of Supplying Petrochemical Industries Part, Equipment and Chemical Engineering Company (SPEC).
The newly-established factory will supply the Iranian petrochemical and refining industries with eight catalysts needed for producing high-quality gasoline.
