Marmar Palace, is one of the historical palaces of Tehran and a major tourism attraction, which was built in 1934 on an order by the then Iranian ruler Reza Shah.
The palace has been registered as a national heritage site in Iran. The palace was turned into the Pahlavi museum to get people more acquainted with Reza Shah.
After the 1979 Islamic revolution in Iran, the building was handed to state bodies including revolutionary committees, the judiciary and later to Mostazafan Foundation and was once more opened to the public as the Art Museum.
