Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will leave Tehran for the Syrian capital of Damascus on Monday in order to hold talks with high-ranking Syrian officials.
According to Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, the Iranian top diplomat will meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem during his one-day trip.
