Nowruz, or Persian New Year, holidays is a great opportunity for travelers across Iran to tour historical monuments and sites, including the Asef Mansion in the western Iranian city of Sanandaj, the capital city of Kordestan Province.
The Asef Mansion, also known as the Kord House, was constructed hundreds years ago during the Safavid and Qajar dynasties as a symbol of the Kurdish cultural identity.
Stucco, carved stones, mirror, bricks and arches are the prominent elements in the mansion.
