Iranian fighter crashes in Shiraz, pilots unharmed

An Iranian Sukhoi Su-22 fighter jet on Wednesday morning crashed while taking off from an airbase in the city of Shiraz in southern Iran.

The pilots of the fighter ejected and parachuted safely to earth following the incident.
The crash has been blamed on a technical glitch.

The Suchoi Su-22 fighter belonged to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force. The IRGC has confirmed the news.

The pilots are said to be in good health.
