Iranian discus thrower Ehsan Haddadi managed to stand atop the podium in Luxembourg’s athletics event.
The 2012 London Olympics discus throw runner-up Ehsan Haddadi won the title in Luxembourg though he still stands far from his personal record.
Iran’s Olympian discus thrower came first at the international event with a throw of 62.32 meters far.
Haddadi, who is staying at a training camp in Germany, is attending several tournaments despite his injury in order to improve his results.
“Since the injury is bothering me, I take up physiotherapy sessions and have participated in various tournaments to improve my training records before Rio Olympics,” Ehsan Haddadi noted, adding, “There is no other choice and I hope to obtain satisfactory results with tolerance and effort.”
