French lawmaker Anne Genetet has been elected as the head of the Iran-France Friendship Group at the French National Assembly.
She is a member of the Rally for the Republic party and represents the French diaspora.
She is also the deputy head of French friendship groups for Afghanistan and Central Asia.
In a message on Friday, Iranian Ambassador to France Bahram Qassemi congratulated her on assuming the new post and wished her success.
