Iran’s Ambassador to Astana Mojtaba Damirchilou said Iran and Kazakhstan are set to finalize cooperation agreements in different fields during the official visit to Tehran by President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Speaking to reporters on Sunday, the Iranian envoy said Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev will visit Tehran on Monday to finalize the cooperation agreements to this end.
He said the two-day visit will take place at the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani, during which cooperation agreements will be signed in agriculture, medicine, technical engineering and services, mining, shipping, transport, tourism, health and treatment, banking and finance.
“The two sides will discuss the implementation of agreements reached during President Rouhani’s state visit to Kazakhstan capital, Astana, in September 2014,” he added.
During President Rouhani visit to Kazakhstan, an agreement worth $500 million was inked between the two neighbors.
As per the agreement, the two sides are obliged to expand relations in geology, metallurgy, agriculture, transportation, logistics, tourism and manufacturing a building materials factory.
