Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has been awarded the title of Honorary Professor by Peking University of China in recognition of his efforts to promote Tehran’s ties with Beijing and help consolidate peace and stability in the region.
Hao Ping, president of Peking University, awarded Raisi the title during a ceremony joined by the university’s professors and students on Wednesday.
He said the decision to award Raisi the title was approved by the Scientific Council of Peking University.
During the ceremony, Raisi also expressed gratitude to four Chinese professors in Iranian Studies at the prestigious university.
